We currently welcome educators in the following districts: Barnum, Carlton, Cloquet, Culver, Duluth, Esko, Hermantown, Northwestern Wisconsin, Proctor, Solon Springs, Superior, Two Harbors, Willow River and Wrenshall. This includes K-12 teachers in public, private, charter and parochial schools. We also invite those who work in educational programs affiliated with the schools to come and “shop” as well. If you are an educator but not located in the districts we serve, you may still shop by participating in our “Volunteer to Shop Program.”
First Visit / What to Expect:
Show the front desk volunteer your school employee ID. You will be asked to complete a registration form, which will log you into our system. Once you are registered, take a clipboard (with a shopping form and a pencil attached), a shopping cart and begin choosing the supplies you need. The average teacher receives more than $75-100 worth of merchandise during each visit to Companies to Classrooms, Duluth. Generally, shoppers are limited to 15 different items per shopping trip. Our mission is to reuse, repurpose and recycle. It’s a simple concept with profound results.
Take all items to the front desk for check out. Every shopper receives information about one of our generous contributors, which you and/or your students can use to write thank you notes. This is one of our best forms of advertising! Companies love receiving notes, especially from students. Please encourage your fellow teachers to visit us!
